What is poledancing
The history of poledancing has a vast wealth of information already on the web but I find the most helpful has been this article:

As you may already be aware PD is becoming increasingly popular as a form of exercise; and for good reason too! It is also referred to as “Pole fitness”, “Verticle Dance”. It focuses mainly on strengthening the body and helping with co-ordination. I personally find that it also brings about a great feeling of empowerment- for both those who are either being taught or teaching.
It can also be developed many different ways. You may decide to use it strictly as a form of exercise to help personal development and growth. None the less, there is still a raving market out there for people who want to use it as a career in clubs as appreciation for the finesse required is becoming more well-known. Another career possibility is that you can teach others which is extremely rewarding for both parties involved.
Anyway you want to look at it- its growing and the bang wagon isn’t full!!!
